Deciphering a surprisingly complex bar
Hey there. I'm trying to play Karakuri Pierot
Honestly, I kind of looked at the tempo and notes, and thought yeah this doesn't seem too bad. However, I'm already having trouble with bar 8 onwards.
The whole piece is in swing 16th, and with that on top of all the complex(?) rhythm (and the pedal?) The rhythm might as well be hieroglyphics to me. I know I should do this one layer at a time, but how would you guys learn these bars? Or where would you start from? Also, tied staccatos with pedal?
Is it worth trying to subdivide, or should I just listen and "vibe" it out?
Thank you all in advance.
