Seeking Advice: Weeping willows, growing fine, but then branches look burnt, happens to larger branches too
Hi, Like the title says. Willows, my one was doing great, then the trunk stopped growing, and the branches all died back, looking burnt. I don't fertilize near them. I have them by the wetlands are of my yard. I have 3, a large one about 15-17 years old, still looking good. and 2 younger about 8 years old. The one is fine, growing large. The sick one, I cut off the dead trunk parts. It's now a 4' trunk with green willow shoots off the sides, the shoots higher up grow, then get burnt and die off.
I was thinking since it's near the wetter part of the yard it would be good. Not sure what to do.
We have swimming pools around us, I worry about Chlorine poisoning, but the rest of the wetlands looks great, no other die-backs.
Wondering what maybe going on.
