My mildly moded base Zephyr 🖤

🖤 How much fun can you have on a mildly modded base model LINNPOWER Zephyr? …more than should be humanly possible…

🖤 Think I finally got this thing dialed in where I can stop fiddling with it constantly.

🖤 Making all the difference was going RipTide FatCone board side and once I landed on the right mix of duro’s for this particular rig… Magic !

🖤Super stable at speed with wayyy more lean, a lovely ramping up effect and distinct wall to help kick out the Orangatang Wheels 83a Caguama which are still holding the title of my favorite Eskate slide wheels…

🖤 think it’s fair to say I got my money out of this thing 10 times over already….

First LDP rig..And I totally get it now !

Wanted to build a trip carbon you give the discipline a try and well it’s beautiful …and third excuse I love supporting my local board companies:) but I had no idea. I would love an LDP setup this much…. What a wonderful little perpetual energy machine.

Off the wall prediction.. he is playing professor X

listening to the new live and it just popped in my head… I can see it .. the age is perfect

Maybe the only other actor on the planet besides Patrick Stewart that could do it correct .. do they have the bslls to race swap the professor?

Finally feeling decent

What was the spur of the moment purchase while I was recovering from ankle surgery.. (( concept cheap sliding rig/ travel// beat up ))

Only been cleared to skate for a couple weeks, but started to feel good again .. mainly because I got rid of those TkPs and made some custom insert bushings.

Base zephyr

Tkp delete- traditional king pin /spilt angle

Foot stop

Madrid grip

Seismic full spin 6 ball bearings

Krank mixed Duro

Custom insert busing

Cag 83a wheels

Now I just have to ride better..

Did I Go backwards?

I have a zephyr base and max.. both of which were “upgraded” with the riptide bushings dkp Krank kit. Looking to tighten it up and gain Stability at speed.

Staying within my weight guidelines per durameter, one board Got 90a (with alil 93a) and the other got 93a. I assumed that the quality of the factory bushings from Linnpower were of super low quality so the 99a or whatever they come with wasn’t comparable to aftermarket.

After installing the riptide and taking a shortish ride..

Board feels way soft with wobbles at speeds I could easily touch prior. I’ll definitely start tightening them up, but they are already pretty locked down …

Any advice is appreciated

Help w potential Clarence issue..

Linnpower Zephyr in question here with the factory hubs.. looking to fit the boa sigmas onto my board and factory hubs..

It appears that the posts from the Kegle hub are fully engaged with the holes in the core of the wheel.

The axle nut seems to thread down as much as it ever did..

It’s either perfect, almost perfect, or minorly not flush with the intended seating surface.

Either way it does appear that the hub and the back of the wheel are touching even if it is on the atomic level..…

Good to go/ let it rip?

Or is this gonna create some fucked up issues issues down the road?
