I came from a Big 4 firm and stayed for 1 year and 3 months. I graduated with Latin honors from a Big 4 school, so before I resigned, akala ko medyo okay naman magiging transition ko outside audit. But now parang sobrang anxious ko kasi ang dami ko nang inaapplyan weeks ago pero halos wala akong naririnig na callbacks.
At this point, hindi ko na rin alam anong niche ba dapat ko i-pursue. Part of me wants higher pay na sana worth it yung stress na pagdadaanan, but another part of me natatakot magkamali ulit ng path. Naiisip ko tuloy if kulang ba experience ko or sobrang competitive lang talaga ng market ngayon.
For those who left audit early, saan kayo napunta? What companies usually pay well and still hire someone with around 1 year+ audit experience? Okay ba mag-private, shared services, fund accounting, ERP consulting, or ibang path?
Would really appreciate advice or even reassurance kasi feeling ko napag-iiwanan na ako lately 🥹
