Update on baby gray tree frog that swallowed a stick.

So in my last post I mentioned that the stick pierced her skin and I was able to pull it out of her inner thigh.

I’ve been nursing her and I just started feeding her.
She finally pooped! I was so worried that she had a hole in her intestines or stomach. She seems perfectly fine and there is no sign of wound or infection. She’s healing very fast.

Update on baby tree frog that swallowed a stick.

The vet recommended surgery and said the exams and everything were going to be quite expensive. She doesn’t look as though she’s in pain or struggling, she looks comfortable. So I let her be.
I just thought I’d soak her in some water for a while again and I came and checked on her and the stick was sticking out of her! I managed to hold onto it as she walked away and it slowly and smoothly came out. I’m not sure if it came out of her skin or if it was out her butt.
No bleeding and she seems fine.
It turns out to be a soft stick from a plant.
