I received a SOR, being send to DOHA
timeline:
- I experienced severe chronic stress while working under an extremely aggressive schedule for three years.
- By the third year, I was so burned out and exhausted that I began using my vacation hours just to make it through the workweek.
- Some coworkers filed complaints about me with HR.
- The security manager submitted an incident report based on my paranoid and unusual behavior.
- My employer placed me on paid leave and required me to undergo a fit-for-duty evaluation. The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) also required me to undergo a psychological evaluation.
- The initial fit-for-duty evaluation concluded that I had anxiety and paranoid personality disorder and that I was not fit to return to work. The DCSA psychologist concluded that I had a fixed delusion or delusional disorder, persecutory type.
- During that period, I experienced thoughts that I was being followed and monitored, and I believed that people were talking about me.
- I had a prior suicide attempt in 2011 after becoming overwhelmed by severe work-related stress while also having untreated sleep apnea. At that time, I also felt significant pressure to succeed in the workplace because I wanted to help my father retire. The combination of chronic occupational stress, untreated sleep apnea, and family-related responsibilities contributed to a temporary mental health crisis.
- After several months away from work, everything returned to normal. My employer then required a second fit-for-duty evaluation, which concluded that I was fit to return to work.
- I am currently seeing both a therapist and a psychiatrist.
- I have returned to work and is now working for a different program with reasonable workload
What are my chance that DOHA will let me keep my security clearance?
