KHS Kansas Humane Society

On July 18th I adopted a male cat from KHS, Chaz. The cats are supposed to be healthy, I've had issues since day two with him. Took him in to my vet and his diaphragm is herniated so bad that all his organs have moved into his chest, even his intestines. Price of operation to try and fix $1600 total. I already am attached to Chaz. I am on disability so my money is limited. I think KHS Kansas humane society should pay for the operation. He is having trouble breathing since all the organs are taking up his lung capacity. I am so mad, pissed and sad. What do you think? Also they neutered him, my vet said there was no way they did not already know of this problem.
