Has anyone else not received the OTP during hostel room counselling?

My friend was adding me as roommate while 1st person she added received it . We tried after 2 pm so I asked couple of my frnds they also me ki they didn't receive any otp ( we are opened in late noon).only those who have done in it starting have completed it smoothly.I didn't receive any OTP even after waiting and trying again after a couple of hours.

My proctor later shared a message asking students to check things like spam folders, blocked senders, and unsubscribe email settings. I checked my Gmail settings and the noreply email address is neither blocked or unsubscribed.

I'm worried because my current roommates and I want to continue staying together. We've already lived together, adjusted well, and would prefer not to be randomly assigned new roommates. There have been enough stories of roommate conflicts and other issues that we'd rather avoid taking that chance with strangers.

Whether this is something we need to troubleshoot on our end or if it's a problem with the college's OTP/email system. They will fix this issue in real counselling na?Have others faced the same issue? If yes, was it resolved later after trying again , and were you able to add your preferred roommates?
