Just had a resection yesterday! I still have a fair bit of surgical pain but so far so good. The photo is my pre-op CT scan. Happy to answer any questions/update for anyone interested! (Also posted on the FB support group)

Hi everyone,
I’m having a new type of pain that’s currently keeping me awake so I’m desperately hoping anyone else has dealt with something similar and/or might be able to help.
I’ve been diagnosed for a while now and my main pain has always been in my hips/low back. Usually a dull radiating ache that hovers around a 3-5 pain level and is easy enough to manage most of the time.
Currently, the pain is very sharp and limited to just the SI joint. My normal pain is at the very top of the joint, but this feels like the entire thing is on fire. It’s mostly on one side, like my normal pain. All of my normal things to help (heat, tiger balm, trying to pop things back into place, etc) haven’t helped and if anything have made it angrier.
There’s only one thing I can think of that would’ve caused this. I tried using a Pilates ring to help my normal pain by putting my knees inside of it and pushing outward (I think I saw it on tik tok). It felt very close to popping when doing that but I couldn’t get enough force. And since then I’ve had this specific pain that’s been getting worse. Not sure if I need to commit to that move to actually just pop it, if that somehow messed things up, or it’s unrelated entirely, but trying to give any information that might be relevant.
Really appreciate any insight/advice anyone has.
