Going to Japan, looking for a unique/JDM watch under $2k as a trip memento
Heading to Japan and want to pick up a watch as kind of a trip memento. I’m into the idea of getting something that feels uniquely Japanese or maybe even Japan-exclusive, but honestly I’m open to whatever.
Budget is probably $500 to $2k (could stretch a little for something really cool). I know the obvious answer is Grand Seiko, but I’m not sure if there are specific references, JDM models, special editions, or brands I should be looking at. I’ve also heard that there are some some vintage Credor that are not terribly expensive, but I don’t know what I’m exactly looking for.
Trip is Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka if that matters. Mostly just want something that years from now I can look at and immediately think “yep, got this in Japan.”
