Fr so what is the point of this career?

I will soon graduate in a bachelors degree and i think my work is going good. I understand the importance of AI and how we should learn to adopt it rather than fear it.
But by how quick it’s developing, do they really need us, I mean for research maybe.
But i don’t know how this job will look into the future. At times i wish i picked something that had an obvious trajectory of where it’s going like doctor or psychologist but i dont want to start a whole new career now.
Just thinking out loud.
