I have to be missing something. This was on Solo queue on Outpost
I was the one who opened Pinwheel. The message triggered when I initiated the opening. I opened VERY early in the match. I even had Conveyance. Destroyed wing was intact (there’s no possible way someone solo’d the buttons before I got in… even if they did how would they get to that exact point and be waiting) but the second i slid thru the grate I was executed from the top of the ladder.
I do not see how that is possible without early conveyance or destroyed wing.
Is there some magic way into Pinwheel that I’m forgetting?
Even if someone SOMEHOW opened Pinwheel in the first 4 minutes of the match AND went in a different entrance without trigger the unlock message then how would they have travelled to the top of the ladder to shoot me the instant I slid through the grate?
I’m genuinely perplexed.

Edit: also just a few weird observations I’ve noticed with Outpost the last few days.
I was not trying to complete the quest on rook but I have been playing a mixture of solos Outpost and Rook Outpost.
When Rooking, I’m running into ALOT of rook. It’s not unusual AT ALL to have 4-6 Rooks in Pinwheel and/or having 4 to 6 extracting.
While Rooking I am seeing probably close to half of all my lobbies not opening pinwheel by 10 minutes left. I am opening as rook in likely a third of my matches. Bizarre.
Are teams farming rooks? When I am not either solo opening the Pinwheel or with 5 other Rooks fighting for scraps, I run into 3 stack teams kind of just dicking around the map. These teams aren’t newbies or bad. They have kits with purple shield and do not behave stupidly but they are just kind of farting around not really doing much of anything. Pinwheel is closed, Tox Warden is up, etc… not sure what they are doing.
