I'm on day 8 of(No coffee&caffeine) after a 40 year addiction

I have felt a 20% shift in my energy levels and mood within the last couple of days- I would like to add that the(Adaptogens/ Nootropics) iam using have been an absolute game changer, they have improved my mental focus and cognition some-what, but anyone who decides to use them I would advice be cautious in the amount you use or perhaps consult a GP iam using siberian gingseng root& and ginkgo biloba, which are both natural herbs 🌿 I consume in a tea.

Towards the end of my addiction to(Coffee&caffeine) I had daily tension in my body, constant stress, anxiety, agitation- and OCD& AND ADHD SYMPTOMS(such as) Ruminating and constantly worrying about stuff that wasn't even important in the grand scheme of my life.

I truly believe Sleep, healthy Nutrition, hydration are your best friends on your quiting journey+having a purpose in your life(will Go) along way in towards eliminating this poison from your life- striving towards goals that will get you out of your bed (Otherwise) you may just fall back into active addiction all because of boredom and nothing to look forward too.

I'm not saying I feel great or anywhere near one hundred percent- but it's enough of a shift to give Me some hope and positively about the future. I never ever want to return to my previous caffenated hell.

(Ps) I would suggest to anyone wanting to quit- would be to reduce it slowly NOT GO COLD TURKEY as that would be a shock to your system-I reduced it over a month, which helped me considerably 🙏

Day 5 off coffee and caffeine

After almost 40 years of addiction and dependency, my brain, adrenals and nervous system are fried(so much so) its even difficult for me to concentrate and write a sentence here. Just want to mention that with all addictions there comes a time when the benefits are completely gone& and the negatives completely outweigh them(iam at that place now) through the years& and in recent years- I have noticed issues with heart arrhythmias, poor digestion, bloated stomach, poorer blood circulation, higher blood pressure and cholesterol(and these) are just the physical symptoms& the psychological ones are even worse. For my own health and sanity I must stop consuming this legal poison once and for all- for all the younger people- never ever touch this poison& or go back to it, caffeine like all drugs "is like a thief in the night" it will slowly take everything away from you(you hold dearly) such as your physical, psychological and emotional health. Keep it simple(just for today) one day at a time 🙏

I'm 4 days of all caffeine

After nearly 40 years of dependency on coffee and caffeine, my mind, adrenals and nervous system is fried(I know it is damaging my health) so I have no other choice but to quit for good this time. I've tried to quit numerous times in the last 6 years but it so fucking hard to quit this damn drug that is being marketed as harmless, there is no fucking way coffee or caffeine can be harmless if you have to go through all these painful withdrawal symptoms especially the psychological ones, let me tell you(especially to the younger folks) do not ever get sucked into the caffeine trap, it is a complete scam, it does not give you energy 😢 it only gives you stress and more stress in the long run. I've quit several other addiction in the last decade or so including alcohol, weed and nicotine(and this one) right here has you by the balls, but iam determined to quit this time" iam trying to keep it simple- one day at a time(I will not consume) coffee&caffeine for today and tomorrow will take care of it self, rinse and repeat as they say 👍
