I forgot to pay a $200 move out charge from a student housing apartment back in July 2025 and I got an email from Southern Management Systems today notifying me of my debt. I paid it right away because I admittedly forgot to pay despite the multiple reminder emails from the leasing office (oops). I checked my credit report and the collections account didn’t show up. Will it show up in future reports even thought I just paid? Im 22 and currently have an 812 so I’m a little concerned about the impact. Anyone have helpful information/experience?
