Types of Separation [PA]

I’m curious to know what kind of weight or thought is put into understanding someone’s previous short term experience.

Is there a difference in knowing how someone involuntary left their position. It could be due to either:

  1. Downsizing
  2. not being a good fit Or
  3. misconduct

If the reason is one of the first two, is it worth indicating as such to potential future employers? Do people care as much as I think they might?
