I’m looking for some guidance or shared experiences regarding my Portugal D2 visa application.
I applied through VFS New Delhi, and it’s now been over 160 days with no response or updates from the embassy. This is my second application, and the delay is really starting to affect my business plans.
Here’s my situation:
- I established a company in Portugal in mid-2024
- I’ve been consistently paying social security contributions every month
- I deposited €15,000 into the business account
- However, my business bank account has now been frozen because I couldn’t submit my visa copy within the required 6 months
At this point, I’m dealing with both the uncertainty of the visa decision and operational issues due to the frozen account.
Has anyone faced a similar delay or situation?
Is there any way to escalate this or get clarity from AIMA/embassy?
Would involving a local lawyer in Portugal actually help speed things up?
Any advice or insights would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.
