I let my boss know I need to get a Cardiac Ablation surgery done to my heart earlier this year, but had to reschedule the surgery due to illness. I have been on medical leave for it the past couple months so I have not been in much contact with my boss during it and I didn't know when I was coming back until last week. I did let them know verbally a while ago that it is later this month and they said they will make note of it. Since it was scheduled for later this month I let them know today that I will need some time off for this surgery via text. I can't reschedule since my cardiologist/surgeon is busy and can't reschedule until months out. This was their response to me telling them I need these days off for this surgery.. I would understand if they just asked if it could be moved, but to say my coworkers vacation was already paid for like I am supposed to feel bad made it worse. They can easily swap people around like they did when I was on medical leave to cover for me for just a couple days.
