I rent in a US-VA house from 1914 and noticed some peeling paint in my bedroom. It doesn’t fully come through in the photo, but the material beneath the paint appears to be fibrous and reflects light like a crystal. Should I be telling the landlord this might be asbestos?
I’m trying to figure out the name of a musical I saw years ago, it took place in the ’30s or ‘40s maybe and follows two plot lines: a young couple falling in love, and the woman from that couple years later but now sad and alone and running a newspaper.
In the young couple storyline, the woman gets pregnant and her dad sends her away so no one will find out, and when she has the baby, he makes a deal with the father’s parents and takes it away and ends up throwing it off a train. BUT another couple finds it and raises the baby.
Now we meet up with the other storyline because the baby grows up to be a young man looking for a job at his birth mother’s newspaper (but neither realize who the other is). The guy’s adoptive mom has also just conveniently died.
Does anyone know what this musical is?? The only lyric I remember is from the song after she loses her baby: “I have been blinded by endless night“ or something close to that. A google search of that lyric found nothing.
