Getting money for books?

I saw on another post you can request an advance on your refund to purchase books. I can’t find it now. I know for sure I need two of the text books as the professors for two of my classes stated we would need them. I do not have the fund to buy them before my refund hits. What do I need to do to get an advanced so o can purchase them? I know classes start soon and I’m freaking out because I don’t have a way to get the books without the advance. :/

Refunds

I’ve been looking at older posts about refunds on here and I’ve seen they don’t send it all back at once and send multiple small amounts through out the semester. Just curious if that’s true or if there is a way to request it all be sent at once when it’s ready rather than getting multiple little ones?

Aid packages

I have received my TAP grants and a merit scholarship but it isn’t listing my direct loan or PELL yet. Is this normal? I did not want to call and bother the financial aid office if I should just wait a little longer. Just confused because I did apply for everything on FAFSA website and it showed what I qualified for. But it isn’t showing on my portal for UAlbany.

Financial Aid

Hello! I’m a transfer student to UAlbany for Fall Semester. The only thing showing on my financial aid right now is a scholarship for 2500$ for having a good GPA from my previous college. I applied for Pell and for TAP. Does anyone know when these will show on the portal? I just don’t want to be behind on things and have classes dropped because they aren’t paid for. Thank you!

Psychology major

Has anyone done psychology before at UAlbany? Specifically online? I’m starting my bachelor’s in the fall and wondering how it’s going to go. Which classes have people taken etc. My minor is criminal justice but I only have to take 6 credits (2 courses) for that because I have other credits from a previous school applying. I already completed all my gen ed classes when I got my associates.
