So, for a story idea that I have, my character (Male) is Russian and was trained in Russian ballet since he was a child in the more feminine way due to his features. What are the good books or resources that can aid in my research on Russian ballet, its history, how women were treated and I guess the political atmosphere around it. I don't want to be shabby in my research. It would mean a lot if I could find a good book or resources for this.

For context, I have absolute no knowledge in ballet and never did it in my whole life. I'm just someone who is fascinated by it and would love to familiarise myself enough to write a character who does ballet!
