Looking for a Hobby!

Hi All 👋

As the title suggests I, f27, am seeking a new hobby. I am specifically looking for something with a little bit of a community feel as I have gotten very distant from friends and family over the years and find myself feeling somewhat isolated as I also work from home at the moment.

I already go to the gym, and I’m into arts and music, I play instruments already and have done from a young age. I’m looking for something new to throw myself into!

I do drive and really enjoy cars but don’t currently have one anymore. Just feeling a tad fed up now. I am hoping to get my full bike license soon and make that another hobby of mine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

TLDR - Looking for suggestions of other hobbies within the arts, or anything else entirely new.

Stubborn seeds?

Hi all 👋

I moved house some months ago and I’ve been struggling to get my seeds to pop here, typically use the wet paper towel method within a Tupperware to allow humidity to built. Never done it directly into soil before.

Not a first time grower but never done one in my new place yet due to issues getting them to pop. I’ve tried 3-4 seeds now.

Any tips? New methods to try?

TLDR - Looking for new seed popping tips as having difficulty

Confirmation Statement for Companies House? (Not Yet Trading)

Hi,

I registered as an LTD 1 year ago and had received a notification that I must file my confirmation statement.

Does anyone know if I need to submit financial records also? There was no mention of this, and I am not currently trading, and have made no profits in this past year. Do I still need to submit something separate / additional to evidence this or is it just the confirmation statement needed for £50?

Also what is the real likelihood of being struck off if I submit this a couple of days after it was due? I’ve seen they can under the companies act but has anyone had any experience where it’s been more positive after being a couple of days late?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, I would contact them if they were open at this time. If anyone has any information or advice I’d greatly appreciate that! Thanks in advance for any replies 😊

TLDR - I am a new, small business owner and have not yet began trading. The company was registered last year. What is required for me to submit around the 1 year mark on companies house?

Can I install a dishwasher here?

There is a gap in my place for a tumble dryer but I rarely use one. I have a washer dryer in my washing machine slot already so I have little need for a dryer but the gap for where it is supposed to be is bothering me.

Can I put a dishwasher in this space? And if so what would be required?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask as it’s not an ongoing plumbing problem and more of a general question.

Thanks in advance for any replies, I really appreciate it!

Pets at Home Ear Wipes?? (Contain tea tree oil)

Any advice is appreciated!

My 2 indoor cats are suffering from ear mites. I’ve bought some Johnson’s Ear Drops that market killing ear mites and some cotton pads. I plan on administering 3 drops per ear per cat and massaging it for a few mins and using the cotton wool to clean excess after.

Whilst I was in pets at home buying the drops, I noticed pets at home’s own brand “ear wipes for cats and dogs” and I thought they sounded really useful for helping to clean both of my cats ears.

Unfortunately after I returned home I noticed they say “with tea tree oil” near the bottom of the packet. I have always thought tea tree oil to be highly toxic to pets so really I’m just wondering how this can be sold? Is it safe? Has anyone used them?

Additionally if anyone has any tips of ridding ear mites please let me know! Thanks in advance for any replies, it’s greatly appreciated!
