I hate the acceptance of childhood obesity

For this specific kid he has diabetes and has to maintain a healthy weight which is why he makes content surrounding healthy recipes. The comments are full of people talking about how he’s just a kid and doesn’t need to lose weight and that he’s still growing.

I just wanted to talk about how these same people won’t be here when he’s a 200lbs teen and neither will all the people that promote childhood obesity under the guise of “but you’re growing” or “it’s just baby fat”. What about all of us who were fat kids and turned into fat teenagers and eventually into fat adults?

I wish my parents did something to keep my weight down despite me being young because it is debilitating and humiliating to be huge. When you start to become a teenager the same family mocks you for your weight and constantly nagging you about losing it while

they were feeding you god knows what as a child.

When you’ve been a big kid it’s so obvious when a child struggles with overeating , especially if they’re the only big one out of their group of friends. Prevention matters.
