Will the webseries eventually close the timeline gap between itself and the movie?

So we all know that as of now, the last we see of Async is may 29th 1990, Marvin seems to be in some sort of fallout with Async after the incident involving them and Tench, around this time, they discover what is on the other side of Room 14D, and this is where we are cut off from the story as of now.

We know from the trailer that the movie will take place around the end of June 1990 and it will include Async to some extent and considering how eventful may of 1990 was, to put it lightly, I would be very suprised if we suddenly had a month long gap when theres so many ongoing plotlines. (In SDE we can see they are preparing to go down where Marvin fell in Pitfalls)

Do you guys think the series will eventually "catch up" and tie in the events of the movie, potentially even including some characters in the series who will appear in the movie, or will the series focus more on dealing with the aftermath of the movie's plot?

(POSSIBLE SPOILER) so who could this be?

In the latest promo we can see what seems to be a dead Async employee, which is huge because this would be the first time someone from Async dies in the complex. My question is:

Who could this be? And what will the consequences of this be in the web series and in Async's story as a whole, moving forward?

With more and more employees either getting slimed or going crazy, i dont think its long before the DOE terminates their contract with Async

Any speculations?

About the early reactions

Okay so since the premiere, i tried to read every single reaction and review about the movie on X and on Letterboxd and although most of them are positive, there is certainly a big chunk of reviews that are more mixed than i would hope and it makes me a little worried about what the ratings for this movie will look like, especially with it being the biggest milestone for the series since its inception in 2022.

Being a big fan of Kane's work im kinda hyperfixated on how badly i want this movie to succeed both financially and critically and seeing some mixed reactions makes me worried that maybe it wont be as highly praised as i would've hoped for.

Any thoughts on this?

Or am i only seeing the minority of mixed reactions here?
