I hope this is allowed, so sorry if not!

I’m an American in my 20s and I plan on visiting Australia for a longish duration this time next year. I know my country folk have a bad rep as “loud and obnoxious Americans” in a lot of the world, and I don’t want to be that guy when I visit. I’ve always wanted to visit and want to do it right.

So I guess what I’m asking is kind of do’s and donts when I visit. Just want to do this right!

I plan on seeing as much of the country as I can while I’m there, so I’d love recommendations of things to see as someone who is a marine biology nerd, writer, and coffee lover. I do want to dive the barrier reef while I’m there too.
