Long term recovery after Enzalutamide
(50 year old, UK, Private)
So January 2024 I was found to have a granular prostate, PSA of 29 , a Gleason of 9, and the PMSA showing Stage 3b. Prescribed Enzalutamide and Zoladex followed six months later with a month of targeted radiotherapy. Eventually given all clear on the January of 2026 and stopped all treatment.
Surgery offered but Oncologist firmly of the opinion that it wouldn’t improve my odds of survival.
Months later my T score is still very low with 0.64 nmol/L around Easter and “<0.4” more recently. Obviously this is frustrating as I cannot get my energy or memory back to get my fitness back or be strong enough to play properly with my young family. Not able to work obviously.
Does anybody have any stories about how long it took for them to recover from suppression?
