Treating anterior corneal haze after SMILE Pro + CXL procedure with Losartan
I'm about 11 months post-SMILE Pro surgery. Initially, I had a significant amount of anterior corneal haze after the procedure, but it improved over 4–5 months with steroid use. Even about 5 months ago, the haze was still pretty visible through a slit lamp. I recently visited an ophthalmologist who told me that while the haze has improved, some remains. Today, I came across Losartan 0.08% Ophthalmic Solution, which could reportedly help with corneal scarring and haze, especially in late-stage cases. Does anyone know if Losartan eye drops actually help treat anterior corneal haze?
