2k under means for Chapter 7

Hi All. As of right now, I'm under the means for Chapter 7, but I just accepted a new job and start next week which will bring me OVER the means by 2k (as trustees evaluate my new steady income). I'm going to have a really hard time hitting that disposable income # and don't want to file a Chapter 13. Do I just clear out my 401 to pay half my debt and pay the rest as normal? Any hope out there from experience? I'm sick right now, I thought I was going to be in the clear. There are so many choices to make.

I've had knee pain/stiffness since November and finally got to an orthopedic doctor. He told me I have severe/near severe OA in both of my knees. I'm 44 and really trying to be positive as I know PT and weight loss can help, but boy - I could really use some positive stories. I feel like my hiking days are over. Everything I've been reading on here has been pretty bleak. Pleeeeeeease share the good news! 😄
