Enlist or No?
I just need some general advice from folks who are exposed to this community. I recently lost a job at the largest military credit union in the world, and I’m at a point where I’m struggling to do anything else due to being 27 with no other real experience behind me, besides the bank. It was heavily computer oriented, and I do believe I have some skills that can be brought to the table with the space force. Here is my dilemma- the current administration has targeted trans people- I am NOT transgender, however I am a very masculine presenting female who is married to a woman. How does this work in the space force community? I read (on an AI response of course which is why I’m asking this community of [hopefully] real guardians/people) that officers are targeting people they ‘suspect’ to be trans and I don’t want to put myself in an uncomfortable position having to explain myself or start something I can’t finish that will help my family. I am a parent of two small children and I want nothing more than to provide for my family and I never thought my appearance would be something I had to worry about when joining the military, as my grandfather was a navy commander and is very accepting of my appearance and the fact I married a woman. Thank you for any input, as I want to make the most informed decision, even if it is the answer that I don’t want to hear.
