I had way too many squash / courgette plants, and as I was away for a week and didn’t want them all in the house whilst I was away, I decided to plant a few out.
My allotment neighbour had planted some out the week before, they were looking good.
Friday, I get back, and those three plants I planted out were gone - destroyed by the frost. My neighbours…. They were fine! Why?! Allotment gods….. why?!

Well…
Today, other allotment neighbour is there, and tells me that mutual neighbour lost all of his freshly planted courgettes and squashes to the frost, and those nice ones we see - all freshly planted 😂 At least it wasn’t just mine that were destroyed!
