Effective Date Opinion
I’ll try to make this long story as short as possible. But it’s definitely been a long fight.
I filed a BDD claim back in March 2025. There was an administrative error that made it a normal claim but that’s neither here nor there.
I got approved for mental health in September 2025 at 50% . I’ve since submitted two supplementals for increase. They changed my diagnosis twice, neither of which acknowledged my PTSD.
Today my increase got approved, but with an effective date of April 6, which was my last CP exam.
I’m still within a year of discharge and I’ve continuously pursued this claim as needing to be PTSD and a higher rating. And it even has a paragraph admitting from medical opinion that I was misdiagnosed.
Do you believe that the effective rating should be back to my original claim? Attached is a photo.
