Maps in Driver Display
Does anyone else have an unpredictable experience with maps showing in the driver display?
It seems like every time I get into my car, I have to turn everything off and back on again, sometimes 2 or three times to get the maps view showing in the driver display.
I tried seeing if holding the center button on the center display and restarting the computer would fix this and it hasn’t so far. It actually just makes the speakers act weird sometimes where only the dashboard speaker(s) work and I really then have to turn everything off and back on again. Currently not using any android auto/apple carplay to my phone for maps, just the built in stuff.
Currently to get maps view showing, I have to turn the car on, try the toggle on the steering wheel to switch views a few times, doesn’t show. Turn the car off, actually open and close the door, restart the car and mess with the toggles again and it shows up. Sometimes have to repeat the car off/door open close/car on loop multiple times to get it to show. On the 3.7 software version as most recent is available for over air update for me yet.
I asked the dealership about it and they just agreed it happens in their volvos as well. Just purchased this 2026 XC90 Ultra on my birthday in June and love everything except this weird quirk but from what I’ve read so far, Volvo ain’t no software expert so glitches are just to be expected?
