Looking for HA integration for my 5 year old Chamberlain garage door opener and I see Ratgdo is popular. Seems they only sell the Disco model now.

I have been doing a lot of reading about how Ratgdo works, but I still have a couple questions.

1. Can the Ratgdo Disco be wired so that the MyQ still works?
2. Are there any installation differences to keep MyQ working? Can I just put the red/white/black wires into the garage terminals alongside the normal ones and be done with it?
3. I plan on using one of those 12V to 5VDC USB-c converters to source the power from the Chamberlain. Any advice on where to get the power from? Just connect to the battery?
4. Since I have a Chamberlain b6753t, I believe it has a Yellow learn button, so I should use the popular ESPHome firmware?

I have a Honeywell T10+ Thermostat that I have been struggling to get added to HA. I did a bunch of research and tried various methods:

• Tried using the Resideo Integration but I understand it now requires a developer ID which they never will give out. The available integration for Resideo will not work without an API.
• I have the Honeywell Total Connect integration installed, but the T10+ does not show up. Other Honeywell ones do.
• I read a few posts that people have been able to get T10+ added via HomeKit, but mine does not seem to be discovered. I tried to add the T10+ as a device but it is seen.

I am not sure how the posters that apparently got the T10+ added to HA via HomeKit did it. Maybe they had extra hardware that I don't have.

I did hours of searching and tried various methods of displaying weather radar but they all seemed to play the radar for only one loop and stopped with the starting static image.

I tried picture card, and web card.

If anyone found a way to display any weather radar in a continuous loop that does not end, can you please post the YAML?

I made some progress on my issues with Home Assistant and ESPHome with reTerminal E1004. I found that if I flash the firmware with Full Flash, then connect the E1004 to my WiFi with my phone, ESPHome auto discovers the E1004!

If I then "take control" ESPHome generates a config but then tries to flash it to the device, but ESPHome cannot resolve the IP address of the E1004 and errors:

ERROR Error resolving IP address of ['esphome-web-d8578c.local']. Is it connected to WiFi?

ERROR (If this error persists, please set a static IP address: https://esphome.io/components/wifi/#manual-ips)

ERROR Timeout resolving IP address: Timeout while resolving IP address for ['esphome-web-d8578c.local']

On my previous thread, I cannot seem to find the IP address of the E1004 as I do not recognize it using IPScan utility but it must be connected for ESPHome to have discovered it I believe.

Google says it stores this stuff in something called mDNS. I tried reboot my router and this is configured on a QNAP NAS using Virtualization Station. I cannot figure out the IP so I cannot create static IP configuration in the YAM config for this E1004.

How do I get the mDNS to see the E1004 so ESPHome can flash the config? It does not seem to have an option to use USB under Take Control.

Hope this is the correct place to post my issue. I purchased a reTerminal E1004 and I am getting frustrated spending two days and I cannot get it configured.

Here is where I am at:

• I configure the WiFi on the reTerminal E1004 and and able to ping it.
• I managed to update the firmware for the reTerminal E1004 via the https://sensecraft.seeed.cc/hmi/tools/firmware website.
• I connect the reTerminal E1004 to a Windows 11 PC and connect to: https://web.esphome.io/
• I click on Prepare for First Use
• It installs something ok, but when I click "Close" I get: An error occurred. Improv Wi-Fi Serial not detected

I tried what Google recommends as fixes, none of which helped:

• Unplug and plug in the USB cable when after the flash completes, before this message comes up.
• Use the reset button
• Use the boot button
• Hole the boot button the press the reset button
• I installed drivers and rebooted

Going any further in the ESPHome process like loading the YAML seems to not work as I assume the above problem needs to be fixed first. I can ping the device, but the ports ESPHome is looking for later on are not opened.

Anyone have any advice before I return the ePaper display?
