Question on Hand History

What is the standard for collecting hand history (specifically for tournaments).

Are you guys just going through the generic poker platforms download hand history function or are using some third party software, that monitors it.

Also which poker sites or external software gets you the most data from you hand history e.g. on top of hands and blind levels are there any that give average stack, players left, payout info, etc.

Looking for a tournament analysis tool

Are there any tools that can analyse a run you have had in a tournament. It should be able factor in stack depth, ICM, bubble pressure (im aware it doesn't show up in the hand history but maybe an estimate if possible).

I’m not asking about strategy or how to improve as a player - I’m more interested in the academic/technical side (game theory, CFR, RL, etc.).

From what I understand, heads-up is mostly “solved” at a theoretical level, so I’m curious what people working in this space are actually focusing on now.

Is the focus mainly on:

  • scaling CFR / better approximations?
  • neural + solver hybrids?
  • exploitative modelling instead of pure GTO?
  • multiplayer / unsolved formats?

Also, are there any good papers, repos, or researchers worth following?

Background: CS student working on real-time decision systems and ML.
