

i dont really like the guest rework
for a number of reasons i really dont enjoy the guest 1337 rework and i think overall it accomplishes almost nothing
uhhh jarvis activate points mode
not any better at teamwork
i'd argue his teamwork potential is actually worse after the rework
his block is even less consistent and your other abilities straight up dont do anything unless you can knock the killer off of a slope or into a corner
even then they can just walk through you most of the time so you might as well be playing someone else who the killer actually has to pay attention to
sure, he's less oppressive but hes so unoppressive to the point of being a nuisance more than a threat especially compared to other sentinels (no way perfect lead-in?!?!?)
outclassed by other survivors
guest 1337 is a sentinel, so you'd hope he's similarly as powerful as the four other characters who share his character class right?
not really
shedletsky is more of a threat in chases (helping and solo) as his sword is on a shorter cooldown and actually stuns the killer instead of annoying them
jane doe is somewhat similar in needing a prerequisite to actually stun the killer, but she has far less risk and more reward than guest 1337
chance, like guest 1337, has to run a pretty major risk to get his stun off which also can do pretty small amounts of stun time
however chance gets to do everything outside of the killer's view
two time is two time
maybe guest 1337 is better supportive right?
not really
if his thing is making distance via knockback why wouldnt i just get a builderman taph or dusekkar on my team to help make distance and in the case of builderman and dusekkar potentially do more for me
guest 1337 doesnt even compete with any survivalists over survivability since thats like their thing
better at self-sustain than pre-rework
while i did say knockback is coincidental, if you're the one being chased not only is it easier to path the killer to areas to use said knockback but once you're the focus of a chase its far easier to fight off the killer
originally it was charge only (block on a good day)
now you have charge and punch (block on a really good day)
before the rework, your self-sustain wasnt exactly good but it also wasnt horrendous sort of like a more polarizing shedletsky ig
your only tools in chase either lost you the chase for fucking it up (block) or prolonged it by like 5 seconds (charge)
now you have block (which isnt any better than before, if not worse) charge which does essentially what it did before, and punch which does what charge does but worse
punch and charge are too similar now
they both serve the same purpose of knocking back the killer now
before the rework punch stunned and was harder to unlock whereas charge only did knockback but was given to you for free
now they feel so similar
also punch doesnt pierce (not really important but it pisses me off)
overall satisfaction
this is completely my opinion but guest 1337 doesnt feel as satisfying to do well as before
not much to say here just kind of annoying
not a point just separating this from the rest of the rant
i could keep going but i'd probably end up repeating myself and i feel like this is already long enough as is
maybe theres something im not seeing but oh well
can we get shirtless guest 1337 wheres he's lowk absolutely shredded and sweating all the time 👀
