Hitomi gets way too much hate, while Kyosuke is the real problem.
I've been thinking about the hate Hitomi Shizuki gets from the fandom, and honestly? It feels incredibly unfair. From the very beginning of the anime, we can see she lives under massive pressure from her traditional family and a suffocating schedule. Even when it came to Kyosuke, she was respectful enough to tell Sayaka about her feelings beforehand and gave her time to confess first.
Hitomi didn't steal anyone; Sayaka simply couldn't overcome her own insecurities to speak up.Also, the "girls can't love girls" meme is just a funny, dramatic reaction from a naive girl who felt left out by her best friends. It doesn't make her a bad or malicious person.
The real culprit here is Kyosuke. He completely embodies the type of person who uses their trauma and life problems as an excuse for selfish actions. Sayaka literally visited him every single day, sacrificed her time, and used her life-changing wish to heal his hand. The moment he gets cured, he completely forgets her, shows zero empathy for her emotional state, and acts like only his violin matters.
Hitomi is just a normal teenager caught in the crossfire. Kyosuke is the one who completely abandoned the person who saved him, leading Sayaka to her downfall. What do you guys think? Am I missing something, or does the fandom shield Kyosuke way too much?
