[For Hire] Will build a PC for you :D
Heyo redditors of the UAE, I'm Marwan Ahmed.
I'm a 22 year old EEE graduate currently working as an Electrical Engineer but wanted to side hustle in the one thing I've always known very well, computers.
I want to do this on the side because I love building computers, I have built 2 for myself throughout my lifetime, and 13 other PCs for others, and it's always been a dream to be able to share that ability with anyone that needs it.
I know how to build, set up and even overclock.
I'm great with diagnostics, repair and maintenance.
The first PC I built was when I was 14, luckily my mum was down with the idea of spending money on it, though I had to do it myself cuz neither of my parents knew anything about it, then I built the one I'm posting from right now just over an year ago, still works like a charm and recently upgraded my GPU to an RTX 5080 :D
So, let's get to the point, what exactly am I offering here?
First, if you don't have an idea of what parts you want your PC to have but have a budget in mind, I can help pick the parts for you, the build doesn't start until you're fully satisfied with the parts list.
If you only have an idea of some of the parts you want, the same above applies.
If your parts don't particularly fit in the budget, we could try to find a way around that.
Overclocking and extended setup (anything past setting up the OS and updated drivers+BIOS) will be an additional cost because it adds work time.
You get 30 days of remote support (WhatsApp/phone/screen share) for any hardware or software issue related to the build for free, if I have to come physically to check it out, it will be an added cost (though I personally will avoid that as much as possible, because commuting is a pain, this is a necessity only action basically)
I'm based in Al Ain but I can deliver to anywhere in the UAE really, though I'd prefer if I didn't have to with the current gas prices! xD
What you'd be paying is:
- Half the cost of the build up-front (You'd be protected a private contract as a "Service Agreement" if that helps)
- A Tiered flat fee (I have no idea if these costs are good, but I know stores charge around 500-800 or sometimes higher for builds that aren't even above the 8k point, and since I'm a solo show, these prices seemed fair)
Bracket builds by total parts cost:
- Under AED 3,000: AED 150
- AED 3,000–7,000: AED 350
- AED 7,000–15,000: AED 500
- AED 15,000–25,000: AED 750
- Above AED 25,000: AED 1,000+ (TBD on parts list agreement due to the shipping and handling costs)
- A fee if you need it delivered to you (the fee depends on the location, will inform you before anything starts, details about setup will be shared to protect parts like the GPU and CPU Cooler)
If you've already got a PC but it seems to be misbehaving, like I said above, I also do diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of computers, I've done hundreds of these and rarely ever see anything new nowadays.
