Here's my question: How do I find a buried gun?
What kind of metal detector or what settings could you use to find these "guns"? My mom lent us this cheap radioshack discovery 1000. Idk if it would work but any insight would be helpful. I started using it on high sensitivity and all metal, it picks up everything. I think it's picking up tree roots?
Here's the story why:
We bought a house that was built in the 90s out in the country on 7 acres in the woods. About 3 years ago we had 2 random visitors. They were mother and son and they were in town burying their husband/father. Anyway, the mother stated she was the original owner and had pictures of the house being built. She asked if we wanted them. We said yes and they mailed them to us with no return address or name. During that same visit they asked my husband if we found any buried guns on the property. He said no, obviously. They proceeded to tell my husband that there are 2 guns buried on the property and told us the type. This is all the information we have. Why didn't we ask these people their names is beyond me, especially since our 1 yr old daughter was galavanting around. Maybe they told us their first names but I don't remember.
