Hopefully for eventually tapering 🤞
Okay so a little bit of back story! I'm a 24YOF, I got pregnant last year and had my first baby, got diagnosed with preeclampsia with severe features during pregnancy, BP regularly was 140s-150s/90s hitting 180/120 right before I got induced. Before pregnancy I never had any BP issues and even had low/normal BP. Postpartum I started taking nifedipine and labetalol. At arpund 4 weeks PP they started trying to taper my meds, successfully tapered off nifedipine without problem but once I tried coming off labetalol my BP spiked and started running 150s/90s again. Started nifedipine and labetalol again and have been on both since. I'm currently 5 months PP and they're attempting to taper again due to low/normal BPs. I was taking 30mg nifedipine twice daily and 200mg labetalol twice daily. I'm down to nifedipine once daily now and labetalol still twice daily. My BPs are still running low/normal. I guess im just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar with a failed tapering attempt and was eventually able to successfully taper off meds??
This has been my BPs since decreasing nifedipine dosage
