I got tired of the “No Promotions” rule, so I created a Discord server where I'm allowed to brag. [PROMOTION]

Whenever I join a web development community, there are usually rules like “No self-promotion” or “No boastful posts,”

and I’ve always felt like there was nowhere to show off the things I’ve worked so hard to create.

So, for WordPress and web developers,

I created a Discord server where “you can proudly showcase your own creations (sites, plugins, themes, etc.).”

・There’s a showcase channel where bragging and promotion are allowed

・There’s also a dedicated channel for those who want serious feedback

・Since it’s still small, your posts are less likely to get buried if you join now

Server URL: https://discord.gg/kgmKgxdRf

I wrote this not so much for promotional purposes, but because I wanted to invite anyone who feels the same way to join.

We’ve developed a plugin designed with WordPress beginners in mind. [PREMIUM]

You can try our plugin right now for just $9 for the first year. We developed it with WordPress beginners in mind, and it’s optimized for the Block Editor.

It makes editing blocks incredibly easy, and even with large amounts of text, the layout stays intact—even if you drag elements a bit roughly.

We’ve also set up a live demo site where you can try out different designs.

[DISCUSSION] What's something experienced WordPress users forget about beginners?

I’ve been thinking about the gap between experienced WordPress users and beginners who are just getting started.

For experienced users, questions like “Is this ready to go live?” or “Which settings might break the site?” feel like common sense.

However, for beginners, none of that can really be taken for granted yet.

So, there’s something I’ve been wondering about.

What are some of the challenges beginners face that experienced WordPress users tend to overlook?

It doesn’t matter if they’re technical, psychological, or even things you struggled with when you first started.

In particular, I’d like to hear about things that seem easy now but were initially confusing or daunting.

What did you find most challenging when you were just starting out with WordPress? [DISCUSSION]

I’m currently developing tools and plugins for WordPress beginners. I’ve heard that many beginners never make it to the stage of launching their own website. It seems there are many cases where people get discouraged before their website is finished and end up giving up on publishing it.

These days, there are plenty of tutorials on how-to blogs and YouTube, but how effective are they, really?

When you were just starting out, what kinds of challenges did you face? Feel free to share any challenges you’re currently facing as well. No matter how small, please let me know your thoughts.

[FREEMIUM] Most beginners don't need another page builder. They need to finish their website. Looking for feedback. [PROMOTION]

Hi everyone,

I'm an indie developer and I've been working on a free WordPress plugin called GENE Section Builder.

While helping beginners with WordPress, I noticed the same pattern over and over:

People spend hours watching tutorials, comparing themes, trying different page builders, and tweaking settings...

but many never actually finish their website.

So, I wanted to experiment with a different approach.

Instead of giving users more blocks, more settings, and more things to learn, the goal was to help them go from a blank page to a decent-looking section as quickly as possible.

The basic workflow is:

• Choose a color
• Choose a style
• Generate a section
• Customize if needed

I've attached a few screenshots to show how it works.

Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/gene-section-builder/

A few questions for the community:

  1. Does the concept make sense?
  2. What would stop you from trying it?
  3. If you work with beginners, would this actually help them?
  4. What feature feels missing?

I'm not looking for praise — honest criticism is much more valuable at this stage.

Thanks for taking a look.
