My fiancé and I are getting married at Manhattan City Hall next month - just the two of us plus his parents. We’re considering hiring a photographer for the ceremony and maybe a short photo session afterward nearby (possibly with the parents too).

We’re aiming for something simple and low-key - mostly just nice memories from the day, since we’re planning a bigger celebration later this year where we’ll likely have a full photographer for longer coverage.

For people who’ve done something similar: how long does a typical City Hall + quick post-ceremony shoot usually last? 1 hour? 2?

Also, what’s a realistic price range in NYC for something like this? Is ~$400 reasonable, or am I way off?
