The app I launched for VT dining halls is now at at 350+ colleges around the US (VTCals)
Back in March I launched VTCals, a nutrition tracker for Virginia Tech's dining halls because I got tired of copy and pasting everything from the online menu website into myfitnesspal. Within a few weeks a few thousand of you had downloaded it, and I got tons of support from the community and people around campus I'd never met before which was insane.
After seeing the success it had at tech, I worked over the summer to expand to 350+ schools across the US and rebranded to CampusFuel since it's going farther than just VT.
Thanks to everyone who supported me spring semester. The feedback was genuinely useful and helped me make the app way better before taking it nationwide :)
If you've got friends at other schools, tell them to give it a shot. And check out the new update, a bunch of the new features came from y'all's suggestions on reddit, yikyak, support emails etc.
For anyone who hasn't downloaded it or seen my earlier posts: CampusFuel is a nutrition tracker built for dining hall food. Your campus menus are already in the app and updated daily, so you just tap what you ate and it's logged. It also does everything a normal calorie tracker does, so you can create your own meals, snap a photo and let AI estimate it, or search brands and packaged food for when you're off campus.
