All of my friends will not be here in the fall semester since they've successfully pushed summer internships into the fall.

I'd be graduating in the winter, and all of them would graduate in the spring. I'd be spending fall semester essentially alone, since college friend groups are already well established during the final semester.

Would it be a bad idea to take a gap semester, focus on new grad recruiting during this gap semester, and spend my last semester with my friends and graduate in the spring?

Ideally, I would have a co-op in the fall. But if I don't land one, would the gap still be ok?
