Hi everyone, I’m trying to get a realistic idea of the cost of living in Brussels. What net monthly income do you think is needed for a single person to live comfortably but modestly, renting a studio or 1-bedroom apartment alone (no flatmates)? I’m not aiming for a luxury lifestyle — just covering rent, bills, groceries, transport, a normal social life, and some savings.

I’d also be grateful for insight into what would be considered a fair salary for a mathematics teacher with 10+ years of experience who is going to work at an international school in Brussels.

The offer is 2600 euros net monthly.
