Moving Day!!
We completed on our house on the 30th April. First time buyers and on the whole the process was fairly straightforward.
Our offer was accepted on 16th January, so pretty much 15 weeks from offer to completion. It would have been a little quicker but the seller went missing just as we were ready to exchange.
Anyway, we were first time buyers so we have four weeks notice on our rental and so decided we would move today.
All exciting stuff, except when it isn’t……..
We had decided to save costs and move ourselves and so had a van rented from enterprise. They cancelled the van at 1640 yesterday.
I’ve managed to sort another one but I can’t get it until this evening and it’s miles away.
Moving day will have to be tomorrow. Which is great, except for now I have no oven or fridge and four kids at home. We arranged the council to collect the appliances today and we couldn’t change it.
So in summary. EnterpriseCarRental are bloody evil, we have to move tomorrow and I’ll have to get a takeout tonight. I should have just paid for the move.
