Ice Cream Soda Nostalgia
My first job in High School was working the ice cream counter at Howard Johnson's. We had genuine Ice Cream Sodas on the menu. These were not shakes or floats. Our recipe for the most popular- the Black & White, was heavy cream, chocolate syrup, soda water, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and cherry. It was mostly middle age and older people who got them. I don't see them on menues anymore. Does anyone still like them?
