Titanic as a disaster film instead of a romance?

What if Titanic was told mainly as a disaster story instead of a romance?
I feel like most adaptations focus on the love story, but the event itself was a massive human tragedy and chaos at every level.
Would you be interested in a version that focuses more on survival, class differences, and the disaster itself rather than the romance?

What subcultures would make a great film?

I’m looking for interesting subcultures, movements, or groups that could inspire a movie.

Not the obvious ones — more unusual or lesser-known lifestyles with strong identity, beliefs, or conflict.

What do you think would work well on screen and why

Advice needed: one-room mystery/investigation film

Hey, I’m planning a low-budget film set mostly in one room. It’s a mix of mystery/investigation and psychological tension, driven by dialogue and clues.

Any advice on:

  • Keeping tension in a single location
  • Writing a strong investigation story without it feeling static
  • Good films or scripts to study

Thanks 🙏

Need advice on a film idea with a passive main character

I’m working on a story where the main character is mostly an observer of events happening around him.

He doesn’t really control the situation, but he experiences it and slowly changes through what he sees.

I’m trying to understand how to structure this kind of story and keep it interesting.

Any advice or examples of films like this would help a lot.
