Do you think AI is making your time at UQ worse? We're starting an advocacy group that hopes to allow students to opt out of mandatory AI-based assignments and for staff to disclose AI in course material.
Hi!
This semester my friends and I have started a new group called the Students Rejecting Slop, and we want to hear from UQ students about how AI usage is affecting them.
As of now, UQ still does not have a finalised internal policy on AI usage. The policy is still being written, so we are hoping that if this movement takes off, we can help influence that future policy. If this is something you have any matter of opinion on -- whether you're pro-AI or against -- we'd love to hear from you. We have a survey and a social media page, as well as a discord.
We're also hoping to assemble some resources to help students who may want to reduce their AI usage but don't know how to start, so if you know of any, tell us!
