Hi, my friends and I are trying to plan a trip to the transkei. My friend and I are American and we were planning on driving from Cape Town to the transkei. I know that there are large protest and potential for riots happening on June 31, and I don’t know if it’s the safest time for us to drive on July 1. It will only be us 3 girls. any recommendations or advisories we should caution about? Should we just go somewhere else? I’m not sure if it’s the right time to do this transkei adventure but my friend really wants to go.
