HISD NES Kindergarten
I’m going to be a first-year kindergarten teacher at an HISD NES school this upcoming year. I’ve heard that NES schools can be different from a traditional kindergarten classroom, so I wanted to ask for advice from teachers who have experience with them. I’ve heard people say to stay away from them, but this was the opportunity I was able to get and I didn’t want to let it pass me by.
What are some must-haves, routines, tips, or supplies you recommend having before the school year starts? Anything you wish you knew your first year teaching kindergarten, especially in an NES campus?
I’d appreciate any advice, tips, or recommendations so much. Thank you in advance! 💛
