Planted 15g ficus trees for a hedge in December. They are coming along good. With monsoon season here and the stronger winds I’m curious if and when I should remove the wooden nursery stakes. And if they need to be trimmed. Heard mixed responses. With them being newer I’m worried about the monsoon winds pulling them out of the ground. They are already moving pretty good on 20 mph days.

Also how are people watering these to avoid the root problem. Currently being watered at
15-20gph for 1 hour every 3 days.
